It’s been a while since the last nullie camp, but it finally happened again! For me this was also the first diving camp to Zeeland and for me also the opportunity to finally get my license.
Friday afternoon the evening crew packed the car ready to go to Zeeland. We had a first stop at Joure because Jelmer was very hungry. Some hours and another food stop later we were welcomed with some nice cold beers. The next morning I made my first dive in the salty waters of the Grevelingenmeer and I was very excited with all the life you could see there. I saw some Starfishes and crabs, however not the reef balls we intended to see. I guess something went wrong with navigating there… Also the second dive of that day, no reef balls to be seen even though they were straight in front of the pier. So in the evening Alfred taught me how to navigate while walking with a towel over my head. Greetje and Pieter pretended to be fish in the sea. At 12 o’clock we celebrate my birthday because I turned 22 that Sunday after which we played ‘reverse hide and seek’ under the watchful eyes of Johan, Hedzer and Thomas. Who gave us very ‘useful’ tips. The next morning a smaller group went to for a dive after which we enjoyed the beautiful sunny weather. We went back to De schelphoek and somewhat later we drove back to Groningen. I really enjoyed the nullie camp and the best part of the camp was that I finally got my 1* license! Wheee!
